An Open Letter

Dear friends,

In 2024, I welcomed a lovely daughter into my life. I started recording her constantly with the devices around me, yet those images remained trapped inside screens.

One day my partner had a set of prints made. When I held those physical photographs in my hands, I rediscovered a feeling for images that I had not felt in a long time.

A frozen moment is where an image finds its meaning. Physical objects still carry a warmth that screens do not.

But I was not satisfied with the results of those prints.

As someone working across the broader art industry, I know how much effort it takes to restore the color of a work faithfully for artists, photographers, and other professional creators.

So I began to wonder whether the craft of color management could reach more people.

Fortunately, several friends of mine who have spent more than twenty years in art, print output, and framing shared the same conviction.

That immediate resonance became this project: TOMATRONIC.

The name combines Tomato and Electronic. It began because of my daughter, but I also wanted it to carry a tone where the tangible and the cyber world could meet.

We want to bring color-management workflows into output solutions at every level, rather than limiting them to established needs such as fine-art photography output, illustration output, or art reproduction.

We also do not want this process to be confined to high-precision aqueous pigment printers or a fixed set of branded materials. We want to extend it across every device and material that makes sense.

At the same time, we will do our best to share what we know about color management, to share its techniques and workflows, and to learn together with creators, professionals, and enthusiasts around the world.

And in the midst of the AI wave, we will embrace AI wherever it genuinely helps, bringing new possibilities into this long-standing industry.

We hope this vision allows us to deliver satisfying work to everyone who chooses to place their trust in us.
